eCommerce SEO · UAE

eCommerce SEO that sells from your own store.

Most UAE stores sell on noon and Amazon.ae as well as their own site, and the marketplace usually wins the product search. Webzenia settles which surface holds which query, then fixes the catalogue underneath.

What the work is here

eCommerce SEO when noon already ranks.

A store here competes with its own noon and Amazon.ae listings before it competes with anyone else. The first decision is ownership, not architecture.

Who owns which search

Which surface should hold which query. A listing wins the product name and the model number; the store has to win the category, the comparison and the brand, because those are the queries a marketplace has no page for.

How the catalogue is built

A catalogue is a crawl problem before it is a copy problem. Filters and variants generate URLs faster than anyone writes pages, so the pages that actually sell are read last unless the rules say otherwise.

The price a shopper sees

A shopper here checks the price, the 5% VAT and the instalment figure before they check the brand. What the page displays and what the markup says have to be the same number, or the rich result goes.

Your store, or your marketplace listing

Your store, or the marketplace.

Both surfaces sell. They differ on who keeps the customer record, who keeps the margin, and what happens to the query the month you stop paying for it.

Your marketplace listingnoon or Amazon.aeYour own storeYour own domain
The customer recordThe platform holds the buyer. You get an order and a label, and no way back to that person. You hold the buyer record, the consent and the repeat order. That is the part that compounds.
The marginCommission, fulfilment and promotion come out before you see the order value. You keep the gross margin and carry acquisition yourself. Organic is the part that falls over time.
VAT and the price shownThe marketplace collects and remits the 5% VAT for you, and controls how the price is presented. You display the VAT-inclusive price and you own the Offer markup that has to agree with it.
When the spend stopsSponsored placement stops the day the budget does, and the listing drops to its organic rank.A ranked category page keeps returning buyers after the work stops. That is the reason to fund it.
Where it winsThe exact product name, the model number, and any query that rides on the delivery promise. The category, the comparison, the buying guide and the brand. Everything above the product name.
Who should own what.

Leave the marketplace on the product queries it already holds; displacing it means out-ranking an older domain for a search that converts either way. Take back the category, comparison and brand terms, which carry the customer record. A Business Bay modest-fashion label on a Meydan free zone licence, running Shopify with Tabby, finds its Amazon.ae listings ranking and its category pages nowhere: the split was made for it, in the wrong direction. It is the first call in the SEO services programme, and the order of work follows it.

The UAE context

What decides a product search.

Webzenia has worked with Gulf clients since 2018. These three surface on almost every store, and not one of them is a crawl problem.

  1. 01of 03
The listing outranks the pagenoon · Amazon.ae

Your store competes with your own listing.

Amazon.ae and noon are both marketplace-scale in a country this size, so an Al Quoz fragrance producer on a DET mainland licence doing most of its volume through noon starts every product search behind a domain it is already paying to sell on. One SERP, not two channels.

Our methodThe marketplace listing and the store page are audited as one result set.
  2. 02of 03
More than the priceVAT 5% · Tabby · Tamara

The shown price includes 5% VAT.

UAE VAT is 5% and the price a shopper sees includes it, with Tabby or Tamara often displaying an instalment figure alongside. Both marketplaces collect and remit that VAT for the seller. On your own store the markup, the page and the feed all have to agree.

Our methodPage price, Offer markup and Merchant Center feed reconciled as one number.
  3. 03of 03
Two languages, two query setsArabic · English

    Arabic shoppers search different words.

Shoppers here search in both languages, and an Arabic product term is frequently a different word rather than a transliteration. That lands in product titles, attributes and category copy as well as the Merchant Center feed, so it is scoped with the English catalogue or written down as out of scope.

Our methodArabic keyword research run separately, with right-to-left layout treated as build scope.

Google Merchant Center
Why Google Merchant Center

Merchant Center is where the free product listings and the Shopping surfaces read your catalogue from, and it is stricter about price and availability than a product page ever is.

How we excel

We reconcile the feed against the page and the markup so the VAT-inclusive price is the same number in all three. A feed that disagrees with the page is the most common reason a store here loses its free listings.

How the engagement runs

Split, fix, then take back.

The order is deliberate. Rebuilding a catalogue before the split is decided means paying to rank pages the marketplace was always going to keep.

01Weeks 1 to 3Decided

Split the searches

We pull the query set for the catalogue and check, term by term, where you rank today and where your own noon or Amazon.ae listing does. The output is a written split: the terms the marketplace should keep, the terms the store has to take back, and the ones neither of you holds yet. Nothing is rebuilt before that list exists.

Fix the store pages

Canonical and parameter rules first, so crawl reaches the pages that sell. Then Product and Offer markup validated against the VAT-inclusive price the page displays, and Core Web Vitals measured with the instalment and review scripts loaded. Arabic product data is scoped here or written down as out of scope, never quietly deferred.

Build the category pages

Category, comparison and buying-guide pages are built for the terms the split assigned to the store, with internal linking pointing authority at them. From here the work is reported as organic revenue per category, beside what the same products earn on the marketplace, so the split can be revisited on evidence.

Our commitment

Our promises on this work.

Catalogue work is easy to bill and hard to check. These four are the terms, stated before anything is signed.

  • We say when noon should keep it

Some product terms are not worth taking off a listing that already holds them. Where that is true we say so and put the term out of scope, rather than billing for a page that will sit on the second result set.

  • The first month is diagnosis

The crawl waste, the invalid markup and the queries your own listing is taking are shown to you before you commit to fixing any of them.

  • The scope is fixed

A written monthly scope naming the pages, the schema work and the reporting. Anything outside it is quoted before it starts, so the retainer does not grow without a conversation.

  • The files are yours

The crawl export, the schema errors listed by URL and the category map are handed over as working files, not as a slide summary. If we do not continue, your developer can act on them next week.
