Brand identity · UAE

Build a brand UAE buyers trust.

Most of what a brand costs is spent on the part that changes most often. The decisions that compound are made early, once, and then left alone.

What a brand is made of

The six decisions to make.

Ranked by what it costs to change them later. The order is the reason brand work is sequenced the way it is.

Your name.

Everything else can be redrawn without telling anyone. A name change costs the licence, the domain, the signage and every document that references the entity, which is why it is settled against Arabic and availability before it is fallen in love with.

A position you can defend.

A claim you cannot substantiate is a liability in a market that checks. Position on the thing that is verifiably true of you today, not the thing you intend to be, because the second one is discovered in the first meeting.

A look that works in Arabic.

A wordmark drawn in Latin and transliterated afterwards rarely balances. Arabic and English have different vertical rhythms, so a typeface with a genuine Arabic companion is a system decision rather than a font choice.

A voice that sounds like you.

Most of what a company publishes is ordinary: proposals, replies, updates. A voice defined only for campaign copy leaves the other ninety percent to whoever is typing, which is where brands actually come apart.

Rules your team can follow.

The identity is applied mostly by suppliers, printers and new staff. Guidelines have to answer the question being asked at the moment it is asked, which means examples of the real thing rather than a document about principles.

Staying consistent costs money.

Staying the same is work, and it is the work that gets cut first. Recognition accrues only from repetition, so a brand refreshed every eighteen months has spent the budget and never collected on it.

How the work runs

How we settle each decision.

Nothing is drawn while the decision above it is still open. That sequence is what stops a rebrand becoming a series of opinions.

01 / 04Discover · find what is already true

Establish what is verifiably true of you

A brand built on an ambition is contradicted by the first buyer who checks. We interview the people who actually sell and the clients who actually bought, and separate what the company demonstrably does from what the founders would like it to become.

02 / 04Define · settle name and position

Close the two decisions you cannot revise.

Name and position are the only parts of this work that are genuinely expensive to change, so they are settled first and in writing, tested against Arabic and against what the licence permits the company to claim. Everything drawn afterwards is downstream of that document.

03 / 04Design · build the system, not the logo

Design the whole system at once

A mark approved in isolation is approved against nothing. Type, colour, layout and the Arabic companion are drawn together and reviewed on the surfaces they will actually appear on, at the sizes they will actually be used, because a logo that only works large is a logo that mostly does not work.

04 / 04Activate · hand it over so it survives

Usable by people you never brief.

A brand fails at handover far more often than at design. Templates, real examples and editable source files go to the team and its suppliers, so the answer to a question at five on a Thursday is a file somebody opens rather than an email nobody sends.

Figma
Why Figma

Figma is where guidelines stop being a document nobody opens and become a file people work inside.

How we excel

We ship guidelines as a working library rather than a PDF, so a supplier copies the real component instead of redrawing it from a picture of one.
