Off-page SEO · UAE
A free zone membership, a trade body profile and a certification each carry a public record nobody pitches for. Webzenia claims those first, then earns the rest and reports every one.
Get a read on what your links are actually doingWhat off-page SEO is here
Off-page SEO is everything away from your own pages that vouches for the site. Here it splits three ways: links you are entitled to, links you earn, and mentions that are not links yet.
A zone licence carries a member listing, a trade body membership carries a supplier profile, a certification carries a register entry. Relevant, editorial, and available the day the licence is issued.
Coverage in the business press, commentary a desk actually wants, data worth citing. This is the slow half, and the only half an outreach template written elsewhere ever pitches for.
A supplier page, a tender award, an event listing that names you without linking. Somebody has already vouched for you, which makes the link a request rather than a pitch.
Three kinds of link
The visible field here prices links by the unit. The three kinds cost different things, risk different things, and are worth very different amounts.
| The bought linkPaid for, by the unit | The earned linkPitched, and often refused | The entitled linkAlready yours to claim | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where it comes from | A vendor with a rate card and a network of sites nobody reads. | An editor, a journalist or a site owner who decided you were worth citing. | Your own licence, memberships and certifications, each with a public record. |
| What it costs | A fee per link, then the cost of removing it later. | Time, something genuinely worth citing, and pitches that land nowhere. | The renewal you already pay. Claiming the record is administrative work. |
| What it risks | A manual action, or quiet discounting that looks like nothing happening. | Nothing beyond the hours, which is why the pitch has to be good. | Nothing. The relationship is real and the record can be verified. |
| How relevant it is | Rarely relevant. Relevance is the thing a network cannot fake at volume. | High when the pitch fits the desk, and that is what makes it slow. | Relevant by construction: the directory exists because of your sector or zone. |
| What it is worth here | Less than nothing, once the profile is audited and the removals begin. | The most, and the reason a programme runs past month three. | The fastest return available, because it is already yours and sits unclaimed. |
With the entitled set, because it is the only part of an authority programme that exists on day one and costs a form rather than a fee. Earned links run alongside it and carry the programme from month three onward. Bought links are refused outright, whatever the invoice called them. The district-level version of this question, which sources a Dubai buyer already trusts, is answered on SEO in Dubai.
The UAE context
Webzenia has worked with Gulf clients since 2018. These three come up before a single pitch is written.
Open almost any Dubai off-page page and the deliverables still list directory submissions, social bookmarking, forum participation and Wikipedia page creation, often beside the word ethical. None of it is hidden. That visible offer is how a Business Bay real-estate brokerage ends up with 400 bought links and a quarter spent undoing them.
A DIFC-registered fund whose group holds every earned link and whose UAE entity holds none still has a countable bar. We count the relevant referring domains behind the pages ranking for your terms, then write that figure into the scope as the target. A programme with a number in it can be finished.
DMCC, JAFZA, DAFZA and RAKEZ each publish a member listing, so a JLT commodities trader under DMCC already holds an editorial profile it has never claimed. A zone licence is verified through that zone portal rather than one national register, which makes those directories the market record of who is real.
What the work includes
Six fronts, run in order. The profile is cleared before anything is claimed, and claimed before anything is pitched.
The full profile pulled and split into what helps, what does nothing, and what is a liability, with a disavow file prepared
a disavow file and a written verdict on the profile you arrived with
Zone member listings, trade body and association profiles and certification registers claimed, completed and linked, with the live URL of each recorded
an entitlement list with a link on every row
Outreach to sites that are relevant to the query you want, rather than to a list sorted by domain rating
a live link report carrying the domain, the context and the date of every link
Data and commentary pitched to the desks that cover your sector here, a list short enough to name rather than a volume play
the desks pitched, what was sent, and the coverage where it lands
Supplier pages, tender awards, event listings and articles that name you without linking, found and converted into links
a mention-to-link list with the outcome of each request
An anchor mix that stays natural across a trading name written in English and the same name transliterated into Arabic, so neither version reads as over-optimised
an anchor plan
Our stack
The kit for a market where the entitled links are administrative and the earned ones are a short list of desks. Select one to see what we do with it.
Ahrefs holds one of the largest and freshest link indexes on the web, and its Link Intersect report answers the question that opens every engagement: which domains link to the pages ranking above you, and not to you.
We read the intersect as a countable list rather than a score, because in a market this size the gap between you and the page ranking first is usually short enough to write down and work through.
How the engagement runs
The order is set by what is already true of the profile. A link earned onto a profile still carrying liabilities is paid for twice.
A site built for another market carries a link profile built there too, and part of it was usually bought by a supplier nobody at the company now remembers hiring. We pull the full profile, separate what helps from what is a liability, prepare the disavow file, and count the relevant referring domains behind the pages ranking for your terms. That count becomes the target written into the scope.
The trade licence, the memberships, the association seats and the certifications each carry a public record, and most are either empty or still holding an address from two offices ago. We complete them, link them and record the live URL of each. This is the only part of an authority programme that is administrative rather than earned, and it finishes inside two months.
Outreach and digital PR run against a named list of publications and sector sites, with data and commentary pitched rather than links requested. Unlinked mentions are reclaimed as they surface. The profile is monitored throughout, because new links arrive on their own from scrapers and syndication, and a disavow file only protects you while it is current.
Every link reported with the domain, the context and the date it landed.
Our commitment
Link building is the part of search most easily faked and the part most able to do harm. These four are stated before you sign.
You see every link
A live report carrying the domain, the context and the date of each link, taken straight from the outreach record. Nothing is summarised into a count.
Nothing is bought
No private networks, no paid guest posts, no bookmarking or forum drops. If a link would need a payment to exist, it does not go into the plan.
The backlink audit is yours
You keep the backlink audit, the toxic list and the disavow file whether the engagement goes ahead or not. All three work on any site, with any supplier.
We never bill a free listing
The records your licence and memberships already carry are administrative work and are scoped as that. We do not price a form you were entitled to complete as though it were a link earned.
Reported every month, against the referring-domain target written into the scope.
