Customer story
Wholesale enquiries up 2.8x for a Surat saree house, off the Ring Road market and agents.
A Surat textile and saree house sold almost entirely through the Ring Road market and its agent network. Webzenia built catalogue and category content structured for how wholesale buyers now source fabric online, opening a direct channel that runs alongside the market floor.

The challenge
Wholesale orders for a Surat saree and fabric house moved through one channel for years: the Ring Road market floor and the agents who worked it. Retailers travelled in, placed an order, and left, and the relationship rarely extended beyond that single visit.
Retailers and wholesalers outside Surat were increasingly sourcing fabric online rather than making the trip, comparing catalogues and checking minimum order quantities before they ever called an agent. The house had no catalogue built for that buyer, just a handful of product photos with no category structure, so it was invisible to exactly the demand shifting online.
The approach
Webzenia mapped how wholesale buyers search for fabric and sarees online using Ahrefs and Google Search Console data, from fabric type and print category to minimum order and bulk pricing terms.
The team built out catalogue and category pages structured the way a wholesale buyer shops: by fabric, by print, by occasion, with capability detail on minimum order quantities and turnaround built into each page rather than buried in a PDF.
Technical SEO fixed the crawl and speed issues that had kept the growing catalogue from being indexed, checked with Screaming Frog and PageSpeed Insights.
Off-page work earned links from textile trade publications and B2B directories, lifting the domain's authority so the new category pages could compete against established Surat sellers already ranking.
The results
Wholesale enquiries from organic grew 2.8x. Retailers who once needed a market visit to place an order now find the catalogue and enquire directly.
26 category terms reached the top three results. The catalogue pages now surface for the exact fabric and print searches wholesale buyers run before they order.
Cost per enquiry fell 44%. Organic now supplies a steady share of orders that used to depend entirely on a market visit or an agent's commission.
