Customer story
An Ayurvedic brand lifts Domain Rating from 4 to 28.
A Bangalore Ayurvedic supplements brand launched against competitors with 10 years of backlink history, holding Domain Rating 4 and 11 referring domains. Webzenia built an earned-link authority programme on original, citable content to close a decade-wide gap inside one launch window.

The challenge
A Bangalore D2C Ayurvedic supplements brand launched against competitors carrying 10 years of backlink history. With Domain Rating 4 and 11 referring domains, it was outgunned on the one signal that takes longest to build. Organic traffic sat at 400 visits a month, and on-page work alone would never close a decade-wide authority gap.
The product had the credibility; the domain did not. In a category where buyers research before they trust, the brand needed authority fast enough to compete inside a single launch window.
The approach
Webzenia built the authority programme on earned links, not bought ones. Ahrefs and Semrush mapped the referring domains of the established competitors, exposing the publications and resource pages worth pursuing.
The team produced original, citable content first, so there was something genuinely worth linking to. Ingredient research and Ayurvedic formulation explainers gave health editors and wellness writers a reason to reference the brand.
Outreach ran through BuzzStream at controlled velocity. Webzenia pursued relevant, real referring domains in the health and wellness space rather than chasing volume, keeping the link profile clean and defensible.
On-page and technical work supported every earned link. A Screaming Frog pass kept the site crawlable, and GA4 with Looker Studio tracked how authority gains translated into rankings and traffic.
The results
Domain Rating moved from 4 to 28, and referring domains grew from 11 to 89, in 6 months. The authority gap a decade of competitor history had opened was closed inside one launch window.
Organic traffic followed, rising from 400 to 6,200 a month. Rankings on commercial queries came within reach for the first time, because the domain finally carried the trust to support them.
The links were earned from real, relevant domains, so the gains are defensible. Nothing here is rented or bought, which means the authority keeps compounding rather than decaying under a penalty risk.
