Customer story
A coffee roaster builds 340 monthly subscribers and a Rs. 12.4 lakh online store.
A Bangalore specialty coffee roaster had a loyal offline following and no online store. Webzenia built a Shopify storefront with a subscription model, India-first payments, and cart recovery so a repeat-purchase product could finally sell on a schedule.

The challenge
A Bangalore specialty coffee roaster had a loyal offline following and zero online sales. The beans moved through cafe regulars and word of mouth, with no storefront to capture demand from anyone who could not walk in.
The roaster sold a product built for repeat purchase, yet had no way to make that purchase recurring. Every bag was a one-off, and every sale needed a person behind the counter. The business had a subscription product and no subscription mechanism.
The approach
Webzenia built the store on Shopify with a custom subscription model at the centre. Coffee is consumed on a schedule, so the storefront was designed to sell the schedule, not just the bag.
The payment stack was built for India first. UPI and cash on delivery sat alongside cards through Razorpay, so the roaster's audience could pay the way they already preferred. Removing the payment friction was half the conversion job.
Abandoned cart recovery was wired in to chase the shoppers who left mid-checkout, with WhatsApp Business API as the nudge channel that Bangalore buyers actually open.
The storefront UI was designed in Figma to carry the brand the cafe had built offline, and GA4 plus Hotjar measured how first-time online buyers moved through the funnel.
The results
Online revenue reached Rs. 12.4 lakh a month within 3 months, from a standing start of zero. A brand that had never transacted online built a real channel in a quarter.
The subscription model signed 340 recurring customers. One-off bags became predictable monthly revenue, the part of the business that compounds.
Cart abandonment fell from 71% to 38%. The India-first payment stack and the recovery flow removed the friction that had been losing checkouts at the last step.
