Getting more reviews
A written ask, timed to the moment a customer is most likely to answer, sent on a channel they already use and never conditional on what they say
a steady flow of genuine recent reviews
Online reputation management · UAE
Online reputation management here covers two different problems. A poor review is an opinion and is answered, and a defamatory statement is a matter for a different desk.
See what a buyer findsWhat the first page is made of
Three things decide what a stranger concludes about you before they ever reach the site. The stars, the answers and the ten results, and only two of them are marketing problems.
A Dubai Marina brokerage on a DET mainland licence is judged on a rating its agents carry individually, on surfaces it does not own. The durable fix is enough genuine recent reviews to put one bad month in context, which is a system rather than a campaign.
What a public reply says, and what a generated summary of your name repeats back. A reply is written for the next reader, not the complainant, and how the answer box itself is earned is set out on improve Google rankings.
The ten things that actually occupy the page for your name, and for the name on the licence. Most UAE companies have two first pages and have only ever audited one, which is half the problem read carefully and half of it not read at all.
When something bad ranks
The field here sells one of these and calls it the service. Which one applies is decided by what the thing actually is, not by what you would prefer.
| Ask the platformIts policy, its decision | The legal routeA lawyer, not an agency | Out-publish itSlow, and it compounds | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who owns the action | You, filing against the platform own rules. It decides. | A UAE lawyer. This is a different desk from the review desk. | Us, with you, on surfaces you control or can earn. |
| When it applies | Where the content breaks a stated policy: fake, abusive, off-topic. | Where a statement of fact is false and damaging, not where it is an opinion. | Always, and it is the only one that also improves what a buyer sees. |
| How long it takes | Days to weeks, and often nothing at all. | Months, and it is a process rather than a request. | Weeks to move a page, quarters to hold it. |
| What it risks | Little, beyond the time. A refusal is the usual outcome. | Attention. A dispute can become the thing that ranks. | Nothing, provided the reviews are genuine and the replies are careful. |
| What it leaves behind | One item gone, and the page otherwise unchanged. | A resolution, and no improvement to what a buyer finds. | A first page that is better than it was, whatever happens to the item. |
Into deciding which of the three you are actually holding, because the answer changes who does the work. Most of what a UAE brand finds distressing is an opinion, and opinions are answered rather than removed. Where a claim about fact is false and damaging, that belongs with a lawyer and we will say so rather than sell you a programme instead. In every case the publishing route runs in parallel, because it is the only one that also improves what the next buyer sees. Why that first impression decides the enquiry at all is set out on generate more leads.
The UAE context
Webzenia has worked with Gulf clients since 2018. Two of these change what is possible, and two change where you should be looking.
The law on combatting rumours and cybercrimes treats online defamation as a criminal matter, so a Dubai Silicon Oasis software company on a free zone licence gets a different answer depending on which of the two it has found. That decision belongs at the start, and the second route belongs with a lawyer.
The Advertiser Permit is issued to individuals and covers publishing promotional content whether or not anyone was paid. So an incentivised review is somebody publishing promotional content about your business, which puts the practice inside a permitting regime as well as inside a platform ban.
Banks, procurement teams and registration portals search the licensed one, so a Sharjah SAIF Zone manufacturer being checked before a first order is often being checked on a page nobody has ever looked at. An audit that reads one name has read half the problem, and usually the easier half.
A JLT restaurant group listed on Talabat lives or dies on a category rating held inside a marketplace, and property is judged on Property Finder and Bayut before Google. A global playbook names none of these, which is why so much reputation work here improves the wrong page.
What the work includes
Six pieces of work, each producing something you keep. The first two are the ones that compound; the rest protect them.
A written ask, timed to the moment a customer is most likely to answer, sent on a channel they already use and never conditional on what they say
a steady flow of genuine recent reviews
Every review answered inside a window your team can actually hold on a Monday to Friday week, in the language it arrived in, written for the next reader rather than for the complainant
a public record of how you handle things
Both first pages audited and worked: the brand name and the name on the trade licence, which are rarely the same string. The identity half of that problem is settled on brand identity design
two pages you can account for
Each location and each emirate reported on its own line, because a group average hides the one branch that is dragging the rating and taking the complaints
a per-location view with the outlier named
A watch list built from your category rather than from a template: Google and your Business Profile always, plus the marketplace, the portal or the employer site that actually decides your revenue
you hear it first
Rating, review velocity, response time and what actually occupies each first page, month on month, so a quarter of work is visible as a change rather than as an assurance
a monthly read of both pages
Our stack
The kit behind a first page that improves and a mention you hear about first. Select one to see why it earns its place, and where we argue against it.
The profile is the single result most buyers here read before anything else, and it is the one surface in the set you actually control rather than petition.
We keep the profile matched to the trade licence rather than to the brand deck, because a name mismatch is what splits the first page in the first place.
How the engagement runs
The first fortnight decides which of this is ours and which of it is not. The rest is a standing system rather than a clean-up.
We search the brand name and the name on the trade licence the way a buyer, a bank and a procurement team each would, and record what occupies both. Anything damaging is sorted into an opinion, a policy breach or a claim about fact, because the three have different owners. Where something belongs with a lawyer we say so in that fortnight rather than after a quarter of publishing.
The review request goes live, timed to the moment a customer is most likely to answer and never conditional on what they will say. Replies begin inside a window your team can hold on a Monday to Friday week, in the language each review arrived in. Profiles are corrected across the surfaces your category is actually judged on, and both names are pointed at the right pages.
Monitoring runs across the surfaces the category is judged on, so a rating question on a marketplace is caught as fast as a mention of the brand name. The monthly read covers rating, review velocity, response time and what occupies each of the two first pages, which is how a quarter of work becomes visible as a change rather than as an assurance.
Reported on both first pages, with what we will not do written down first.
Our commitment
This category sells removal and seeding, openly. These are the four things we hold ourselves to instead.
We never buy reviews
Not for you, not through a third party, and not as a one-off before a funding round. Here that is a licensing question as well as a platform one, and a rating built that way is the least defensible asset a business can own.
Reviews and legal are separate jobs
Where something is a claim about fact rather than an opinion, we say so and hand it to a lawyer. We will not take a legal question on as a marketing engagement, and we will not tell you what to do about it.
We do not promise removal
Most of what a business finds distressing is an opinion, and opinions stay up. You get that answer in the first fortnight rather than after a quarter of being told it is being worked on.
Your profiles and reviews stay yours
Every profile is claimed under your own accounts with Webzenia added as a manager, and the review history belongs to the business rather than to a tool we rent. Leaving costs you a handover, not a rating.
Nothing bought or seeded, and the legal half handed to a lawyer.
