About the role
Webzenia is a digital agency in Thane, working with clients across India and the UAE since 2018 on web design, SEO, paid advertising, branding and AI automation.
As Business Development Manager you are the person clients deal with, from the first call to signature and after it. You run discovery, scope and price the work with the delivery team, close the deal and stay in touch as the work runs, so renewals and further work come back to you. You report to the founder.
The role is based in Thane, Mumbai or Pune, with occasional client trips planned ahead and paid for by Webzenia. Pay is fixed, plus an incentive on the fees you collect, with the terms set out in the offer.
What you will do
- Qualify inbound and referral enquiries, and follow up the leads assigned to you.
- Run discovery calls with founders and marketing heads: requirement, budget, decision process and timeline.
- Scope the work with the delivery team and prepare priced proposals.
- Negotiate and close, and bring the founder in on larger deals.
- Stay in touch with each client as the work runs, and spot renewals and further work.
- Prospect by email, LinkedIn and phone to keep your pipeline full.
- Keep your pipeline current in Webzenia HQ and report weekly on pipeline and forecast.
What you need
- 2 to 5 years in B2B sales or business development at a digital agency, marketing services, IT services or B2B SaaS company.
- Deals you closed yourself, with the figures to show for them.
- Working knowledge of SEO, paid media, web development and branding.
- Clear written proposals and emails in English.
- Fluent English and Hindi, spoken.
- A graduate degree in any discipline.
Good to have
- Experience with clients in the UAE, the wider Gulf or the US.
- Experience with an outbound sequencer or a CRM.
Pay and benefits
₹4.8–7.8 lakh a year
