01.
Asking the right questions
Who is your target audience? Where will your product be stacked? Can it spill or leave stains? These questions are fundamental when it comes to designing the perfect package to your product.
02.
Research and brainstorming
Once we know the design specifications, we research package shapes and sizes that will best compliment your product. We experiment with heights, width, and design folds to get a 3D package outline.
03.
Graphic Design
The package dieline outlines where the design ends, where we can have maximum design elements and vice versa. A dieline is crucial for package design projects. We make our own dielines or work on lines given by customers.
04.
The first draft
We begin with a one-dimensional mock-up that ticks all the boxes. The system is meant to have the right colours, highlights and spacing that compliments the product shape and size. Textual details are often added as placeholders.
05.
Revise and edit
Package design does require more than one draft to create the final copy. We submit our drafts feedback and make the necessary edits to finalise the packaging design copy. We will have as many drafts as it takes to perfect the design.
06.
The final design on the dieline
Once we have finalized the design, we print it and fit it on your dieline. If the physical dieline is not available, we model it digitally on the final product. We are happy to go back and make necessary edits to polish the final design.
